My friend, Lisa, and I went to get the official Harry Potter fan photo at Platform 9 3/4 in King's Cross Station. There is a worker from the Harry Potter gift shop who takes your photo and they let you wear one of their house scarves for the photo. Most people get the Gryffindor scarf but I told him that deep down I am more of a Slytherin person.
Lisa is more of a Ravenclaw person. We decided that we will probably come back enough times to get our photo with each house scarf to get the whole collection.
After our Harry Potter photo shoot we headed to Camden for dinner at Hache Burgers. I ordered the Steak au Naturel burger and chips.
Lisa ordered the Goat's Cheese Burger that came with portobello mushroom, grilled aubergine, avocado, chive oil, garlic mayonnaise and red pesto sauce. They had several vegetarian options which Lisa said was a nice change to most other hamburger places.
After dinner we made our way to The Shop NW10 in Kensal Rise where the food truck When Mac Met Cheese has taken over The Shop's kitchen until April.
We ordered the fried Oreos, which I had heard amazing things about. They were well deserving of all the praise!
We actually got the last of the fried Oreos for the night so we had excellent timing. Here is an up close photo of our fried Oreos covered in powdered sugar.
I had such a great time hanging out with Lisa, a fellow Harry Potter fan and foodie!
