Pizza and Christmas Displays

Today I went out to lunch with a couple of the other Deloitte wives. We went to Pizza Pilgrims in Soho.

I got a margherita pizza with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and basil. It was delicious!

In the restaurant they had a sign about how to eat your pizza but no one eats pizza like this in London. Everyone uses a knife and fork and you never actually touch the pizza with your hands. Step one is a necessity. When you order a pizza here it comes as a whole pizza and is not sliced for you.

After lunch, we walked down Oxford Street and did some shopping. We went to Fortnum and Mason to see their Christmas displays.

Below is a display of Christmas puddings. They look like cakes but are considered a pudding. We were able to sample one inside and it was terrible! It had a really strong flavour and I could barely finish the bite.

We also sampled some of these mince pies that are featured in the window display below. It was also a really strong flavour that I didn't care for. It tasted really strongly like cloves. But the pie crust was good!

All around town they have these Paddington bear statues and are calling it "The Paddington Trail". It is for the new movie that is coming out. I think they are pretty cute!
