Broadway Market

Saturday we went to the Broadway Market in east London, near Bethnal Green.

The market was really crowded and had so many different stands: kettle corn, chocolate truffles, meringues, cutting boards, fruit and veg, jams, and loads more.

We got a sandwich at Deeney's, which is a scottish sandwich place. We got the Macbeth which had haggis, cheddar cheese, caramelised onions, and rocket. It was really good!

We also got the sea salt caramel banana cream doughnut at Crosstown Doughnuts. Not my favourite doughnut, it tasted a lot like banana cream pie filling which was a little much. But the salted caramel bit on top was really good!

We also split a raspberry meringue kiss from Meringue Girls. I love meringue and this one was really good.

We walked around London Fields park for a bit. There were so many people there enjoying the nice weather we're having.

There is a special section in the park where you can barbecue. We might have to try it sometime!

  1. I see what you mean about Regents Park. It's gorgeous and secluded. The markets are awesome; did you try some Iron Bru (or however it's spelled)? It's the national drink of Scotland (nonalcoholic that is) and tastes a bit like cream soda.
